Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using the Ceylon Ride platform.

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the CeylonRide Application and Platform, operated by SL Transportation Media (Private) Limited. CeylonRide is a technology platform only that connects Passengers with independent third-party Drivers. CeylonRide does not provide transportation services directly and does not own vehicles. By accessing or using the CeylonRide App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • Users must be at least 18 years old.
  • All information provided must be accurate and up-to-date.
  • Each user may maintain only one account.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.

2. Passenger Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations.
  • Treat Drivers respectfully.
  • Do not carry illegal, dangerous, or prohibited items.
  • Cancellation fees may apply for late cancellations.

3. Driver Responsibilities

  • Hold a valid Sri Lankan Driving License and vehicle registration.
  • Maintain the vehicle in safe, roadworthy condition.
  • Treat Passengers professionally and respectfully.
  • Do not engage in illegal or unsafe activities.

4. Payments & Commission

  • Trip fares are displayed in the App.
  • Payments may be made via cash, card, or online methods.
  • CeylonRide may deduct a service commission from Drivers.
  • Prices may vary based on distance, time, and demand.

5. Cancellations & Suspension

  • Accounts may be suspended for violations of these Terms.
  • Fraud, abuse, or illegal conduct may be reported to authorities.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • CeylonRide only facilitates the connection between Passengers and Drivers.
  • We are not responsible for accidents, delays, disputes, or losses occurring during a trip.
  • Any agreement for transport is solely between Passenger and Driver.

7. Modifications

CeylonRide reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
